The lamp from Xiaomi is an example of a great product somehow ending in the budget section.

After one month with the Xiaomi screen lamp, I doubt it would be easy for me to relearn how to work without it. It provides excellent light for day and night with its color temperature settings.

Color temperature

Blue light.

Ranging from 2700K to 6500K you will find the lamp quite able to comfort you at any time of day, it ranges from warm orange and soothing light to cold blue light for productivity, and in between, you have a wide spectrum to please your needs..
 

Orange light.

Maybe it does not seem apparent in the photos, but the difference between orange and blue light is quite drastic. Orange light for sure is ideal in late hours. Setting the color profile is pretty simple and straightforward, by just pressing the controller down and turning it left or right it is easy to set the perfect setting. The adjusting strength of the light is as well straightforward, turn the controller left or right without pressure to make the effect.

Controller

Reliable and easy to use, the stylish controller will do its job as expected. It takes 2x AAA batteries to power but seems that it does not drain them too quickly, for now, from our experience two months have gone and the batteries still do not require replacement. The controller on the surface catches some fingertips if your hands are not 100% dry, but nothing extreme. It feels well-built and robust, it has survived two accidental drops from waist height with no visible damage.

Mounting

Mounting is very simple as well, Xiaomi lamp comes with a holder that is put on the screen and holds the lamp by its weight in place. The lamp attaches to the mount by magnetic locks and is easy to put on and off.
The lamp is powered over this holder and in case of a zombie apocalypse can easily be dismounted to be used as a weapon of choice, thanks to its sturdy compact build.
 

User Experience

Xiaomi lamp is excellent for reading books and computer work, lamp creates natural light with its Ra90 rating, and reduces eye strain from any glare. The light panel of the lamp is well placed in the casing so there is no direct view of its bright LEDs,  while at the same time providing plenty of illumination. It is obvious that effort has been put to create this lamp, and even if it costs around 50$ it seems worth way more.
